Early adolescence is a time when students are internalizing information and
forming their own spiritual identities. Northland's Middle School Ministry wants to be right there
during these crucial and amazing years to challenge our middle school students to know and follow
Christ. We do this through a number of different ways:
LUGRox, Saturdays – 6:30-8:30pm – Middle School Outreach - Student
Ministries and Care Center Building
Scheduled shortly after the Saturday night service, middle school students start gathering
with excited anticipation of the large group gathering that is about to happen in the auditorium of
the Student Ministries Building. This evening is loaded with fellowship; wild and wacky
games; high-energy worship; relevant, life-changing challenges given by our Middle School
Ministers; and ends with caring and connecting small groups lead by our high school servant
leaders. An atmosphere is created for middle school students to be challenged to grow in their
faith and have a place where they can invite their friends to learn about God.
LUGRox meets most every Saturday evening from 6:30-8:30pm taking a break for
Thanksgiving, Christmas and the 2 times a year that we are on retreat along with a planning time
before the start of the school season and at the end of the school year for summer. If you have any
questions if we are having LUGRox or not, please call Mary Beth at 407-949-4007.
ABS - Area Bible Studies – small groups for middle school
students - times and locations vary throughout the area. These small groups meet
during the school year.
Under the supervision of the host home, middle school students meet once a week led by our
high school leadership students for bible study. Each student is given a booklet containing the
study they will be using for that quarter. The intent of ABS is to teach scripture as it
applies to the lives of middle school students; to make scripture relevant and meaningful to them;
to pray for each other and create community within the group.
24/7 – a Gathering for Middle and High School - Sunday mornings
from 11am-12:15pm
Student Ministries and Care Center Building – Student Lounge
Access 24/7 - a Gathering for Middle and High School with special
needs - Sunday mornings from 9-10:15am
Student Ministries and Care Center Building – Student Lounge
During the school year, we offer Sunday school classes for middle and high school students
in the Northland Student Ministries and Care Center. So come and gather in the Student Lounge
to start the journey. We call it “The Gathering”. It is designed for all middle and
high school students to “belong, believe, become and be-sent”. This environment will be
loaded with dynamic teaching, engaging discussions and relevant application. Parents you are
welcome to attend with your students.
“Both Gatherings” again coincides with the Seminole County Public School calendar.
Always a chance to grow in faith…
Training our middle school students to value a life of service, we also offer 2 service
projects per semester to various Orlando locations. In the past we have served at Fusion 2007
and Pathways to Care Ministries. We also offer a short-term summer mission trip to the
Dominican Republic for both middle school students and their parent(s).
Our students are always encouraged to bring their friends!
Our summer schedule changes so please call for further information.
